Chi..anywaze like I was sayin...🥱

Sitting here thinking about how God’s timing really is something else! Born in 1980, which means I got to be a peak '90s kid: no smartphones, no social media, no Uber or Lyft...just pure analog living in the present.

And let’s be real... the men in the '90s? FINE. The boys in the '90s? Fine too! 😂

But God KNEW not to let me be a full adult in the '90s. Me and my bestie Danielle were already figuring out the IndyGo bus shuttle and realizing yellow taxis in '99 were way too expensive. If we had 21+ freedom back then it would have been a wrap...ould’ve been UP in every single club!

Granted, I was still hitting the clubs in the early 2000s and wowzers... what a time. I still listen to some of that rap today.... the clean version....idc get your nails and nail me up if ya want....Once I got over my timid girl phase, baby, I was off the wall and on the dance floor...or maybe it was liquid courage...or maybe a little of both! No smartphones, barely any disposable cameras...if you wanted a picture, you paid the Polaroid guy in the club in front of the downtown skyline backdrop. 📸

I'm so grateful for growing up in that era: recording Video Soul on VHS, dubbing cassettes, and making real memories. Would I go back? Absolutely not! I was naive, and going back to my 20s sounds like pure cringe. But I do love reminiscing. (S/O to my tech line-up back then: the hot pink Razr, the T-Mobile Sidekick, and the HTC Evo! The world's first Android Smartphone) You can't pay me enough today to try and keep up with the latest phone...even if I had it like that...nah...we using this thang until the wheels fall off...yall have at it.

So I hope everyone is doing well. If you aren't where you want to be in life, just a reminder to take those steps toward the life you desire. Understand you're going to have to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty NOT MESSY...NOT lyin and schemin....not lying to get foodstamps....NOT scamming and the like MmmK...., and above all, take God with you.

God has been surprising me so much lately and showing me we’re doing this HIS way. He’s got me on a whole adventure right now! If I told you some of the things I've seen, experienced or God has me doing yall would be like...yea maybe the christian walk aint for me but it is...its for everyone...you're going to experience rough patches in life regardless...there is no moving to another country to escape..they got their stuff going on too...hopefully my life and walk with God as not scared yall too much...my life ...the script God gave me is just chi...different than most...from the moment i was born into this world it was SOMETHIN...i'm pushing 50...my latter days i'm ready Lord to see how this story turns out...all my life has been nothing but pain...a cluster....there has to be more than this...there is more than this....because chi... i cant. Ya girl is tired but I will never get tired of serving God...i mean yes i get tired physically and need to put on my own oxygen mask first..but i enjoy helping others in my own Tashia kinda way..
